STEPHEN JONES NAMED PURCHASING DIRECTOR OF XMi

Nashville, Tenn. –  Stephen Jones of Mt. Juliet has been named director of corporate services for XMi’s newly-established Corporate Purchasing & Supply Chain Management Division.

Based in Nashville, Tenn., XMi (www.xmi.us.com) is a diversified management company that offers business management outsourcing and entrepreneurial support to businesses, organizations, and governments.

Mr. Jones has over 30 years of experience in operations and supply chain management within government and private business sectors, along with 12 years of that related to the healthcare industry, including skilled nursing and behavioral health.

In his new role, Mr. Jones will oversee XMi’s regional and national contract negotiations for procurement through the use of combining purchasing power among all XMi affiliates and their business clients. His main responsibilities will include managing requests for proposal, contract compliance, and inventory control procedures & audits. He also will direct programs for policy & procedure development and systems evaluation for potential cost reduction and savings.

Prior to joining XMi, Mr. Jones was director of purchasing for the State of Tennessee Department of General Services’ Purchasing Division. For past employers, he has overseen the administration of operating budgets in excess of $5.8 million for purchasing, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, supply distribution and logistical departments. He also has directed the administration and financial responsibilities of asset management programs.

Mr. Jones specializes in the development and administration of procurement departments for new businesses and the implantation of automated procurement systems. He also excels in automated order entry systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) programs.

Mr. Jones holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Brescia University of Owensboro, Kentucky.
